Skin rejuvenation is the most popular field of modern aesthetic cosmetology. Moreover, nowadays, more and more often, priority is given to the methods of progressive non-invasive exposure (without compromising the integrity of the skin) even without contact. And one of the innovative and effective methods is plasma renewal (non-surgical plastic).
Most, if not all, types of skin rejuvenation are based on the principle of controlled skin damage, provoking the regeneration process, which ultimately leads to the reduction of visible signs of aging. The plasma method works the same way, but with some tricks.
First, the active substance, plasma, is a high-energy ionized gas. Second, the nitrogen used is chemically inert and suppresses tissue burning, displacing the oxygen needed for the oxidation process. As a result, the skin layers are damaged by plasma (due to heat, cracking and evaporation), but they do not burn as under the action of ablative lasers, therefore no open wounds are created. This approach reduces the risk of side effects such as scars, infections and discoloration.
What to expect from plasma renewal
Reducing existing age-related changes, preventing their progression, and early onset. The procedure has a pronounced lifting effect (due to the "evaporation" of the skin flap), softens the relief of the skin by reducing the depth of dynamic and static wrinkles, smoothing the flow of natural wrinkles, improves and evens out skin tone. Moreover, the result not only appears immediately after the start of the course of treatment, but also gradually increases over several months. The greatest effect can be expected after about 3 months.
Indications for use
- Non-surgical blepharoplasty.
- Treatment of stretch marks and removal of wounds.
- Acne treatment and after acne.
- Removal of wrinkles around the eyes (crow's feet), around the mouth (sac).
- Elimination of skin weakness: in the neck, abdomen (postpartum abdomen).
- Approximation of facial contour.
- Removal of fibroids, nevi, papillomas, age spots, xanthelasma, dyskeratosis.
Contraindications
- Diagnosed oncological diseases of any localization.
- Presence or suspicion of precancerous skin diseases in the affected area. Other benign neoplasms are not a contraindication to plasma renewal.
- ENT diseases in the acute phase (sinusitis and other forms of sinusitis, rhinitis, rhinosinusitis).
- Pregnancy period. At the same time, the procedure has a fairly high safety profile, as it does not lead to systemic (general) changes and significant metabolic changes. And in medical publications there are reports of successful use of plasma rejuvenation in women carrying a child. But it should not be forgotten that physiological hormonal changes during pregnancy affect the condition of the skin and can change the effectiveness of the procedure.
- Breastfeeding period.
- Blood diseases, but at the same time, the presence of mild iron deficiency anemia with satisfactory health is usually not a reason to reject the anti-aging procedure.
- Acute period of infectious diseases, the presence of an increase in body temperature.
- Diseases of the thyroid gland, associated with local or diffuse hypertrophy of its tissues and / or hormonal changes.
- Kidney and liver damage.
- Cardiovascular diseases in the decompensation phase.
How the procedure is performed
Plasma facial rejuvenation does not require special training, prior adherence to any diet or changes in the usual way of life. But a few days before the session, it is advised not to use aggressive scrubs and scrubs, visit the sunroom and people prone to allergic reactions should not try new products and cosmetics.
When using the device, even patients with a low pain threshold do not need local anesthesia. The healing / renewal session lasts 15-30 minutes, its duration depends on the severity of the problem and the area of the treated area.
The patient is sitting in a cosmetic chair or in a bed and the specialist performing the procedure, without contact, directs a pulsating current or a stream of plasma from the top of the device to her skin. At the same time, it is possible to choose the mode of operation most suitable for a particular patient. The session usually begins with pre-treatment of the skin to prepare it for the subsequent stronger effects and to reduce the intensity of the sensations experienced. Upon completion of the procedure, the treated area need not be applied. For the next 3 days it is advisable to refrain from cleaning, peeling, visits to the beach and solarium.
The recommended number of procedures is 1-2 procedures per year.
